Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Canada Visa & PR Tracker mobile application published by SilverAppli.
Canada Visa & PR Tracker is an independent app that helps users view public immigration information and track their own application timeline. The app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Government of Canada.
Because immigration-related information can be sensitive, we aim to be clear about what data stays on your device, what data may be processed by service providers, and how you can remove your data.
Information stored on your device
The app stores certain information locally on your device so it can restore your setup and timeline.
This may include:
- Application category and selected application type
- Submission date, country of origin, and Quebec or non-Quebec selection when relevant
- Timeline milestones, custom milestone labels, notes, and emoji selections that you enter
- App preferences such as language, theme, onboarding state, and review prompt state
Public data sources and network requests
The app retrieves public immigration information and related content from external services.
This may include:
- Canada Visa & PR Tracker worker endpoints used to deliver cached public processing-time and draw data
- Government of Canada public immigration pages and news services
- CIC News RSS content shown in the news section
- Official IRCC and Government of Canada links that open in your browser when you tap resources in the app
Technical data processed by service providers
When the app fetches remote content, handles subscriptions, shows free-tier ads, delivers notifications, or opens external services, infrastructure and platform providers may receive standard technical data as part of normal app, web, and app-store operations.
This may include:
- IP address
- Request timestamps
- Basic device, browser, and network metadata
- Selected application category or country code when needed to retrieve the correct public dataset
Service providers used by the app may include:
- Firebase Analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Firebase Cloud Messaging
- RevenueCat
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and related consent or privacy messaging tools
Subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription, billing is handled by the applicable app store, such as the App Store or Google Play, depending on your device and platform.
Subscription status and related purchase information may also be processed by RevenueCat to help manage entitlements, restore purchases, and validate access to premium features.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, the app may use Firebase Cloud Messaging and platform notification services to deliver alerts such as updates related to tracked immigration information or Express Entry draws.
You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
What we do not do today
- No in-app account creation or login
- No sale of personal information
- No intentional sharing of self-entered milestone notes or application details with advertisers for custom ad targeting
Sharing and third parties
We do not sell or intentionally share your self-entered milestone notes or application details with advertisers.
Limited information may be processed by platform or infrastructure providers when you:
- use app-review prompts
- share content
- open email or browser apps
- fetch remote data
- restore subscriptions
- view free-tier ads
- use consent or privacy-choice flows
Data retention and deletion
Your application setup and milestone history remain on your device until you delete them.
You can remove your data by:
- Using Settings > Clear All Data in the app to remove stored application data and milestones
- Uninstalling the app, which usually removes locally stored app data, subject to platform backup and restore behavior
The app does not currently maintain a personal cloud account for your timeline data.
Third-party websites and services
The app may link to third-party websites or services, including government pages, app-store pages, email apps, news sources, subscription services, analytics providers, crash-reporting providers, and advertising services.
We are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of third-party services.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. If our data practices materially change, we will update the effective date and the text of this policy.
